April 15 – a delegation consisting of Mr. Ron Dizy, Managing Director of Advanced Energy Center (AEC) of MaRs, Mr. Yang Hailei, Senior BD Manager of Worldiscoveries (WD) of Western University, among others, visited Beijing Shenwu Environment & Energy Co., Ltd. (“Shenwu”) as arranged by ChinaWorth. Ms. Liu Jun, Executive Vice President of Beijing Technology Market Association (“BTMA”), Dr. Yi Deer from the Division for International Cooperation on Science & Technology of Beijing Municipal Science & Technology Commission, Ms. Li Xuehong, Director of Science and Technology Commission in Changping District, Mr. Du Bin, Director of Government Affairs Department of Shenwu met the delegation. Mr. Li Diancai, Managing Director of BTMA, Ms. Song Yan, Director of Membership Service Department of BTMA, Mr. Xu Dingbing, CTO of ChinaWorth, Mr. Zhang Shuguang from Tianjin Eman Environmental Technology Co., Ltd. (“Eman”), Xu Haifeng, Engineer of Hanergy Global Photovoltaic Application Group (“Hanergy”), Mr. Jiao Jiwen, Director of the International Cooperation Department of Tsinghua Solar Co., Ltd., Mr. Wang Jianyuan, Chairman of Beijing Zhengyu Electric Group. (“Zhengyu”) also attended the symposium chaired by Ms. Liu Jun.
Mr. Du Bin extended a warm welcome to Mr. Ron Dizy and Mr. Yang Hailei coming from afar and showed them around Shenwu Energy Efficiency and Atmospheric Haze Control Laboratory. The meeting consisting of speech and interaction started with Ms. Liu Jun’s introduction to attending Canadian companies and delegates and members of BTMA, followed by Ms. Li Xuehong’s introduction to energy companies in Changping. Shenwu, Hanergy, Tsinghua Solar, Beijing Heli Electric Drive Control Technology Co., Ltd., and Zhengyu gave a description of their respective companies and advanced technologies they own. Delegate from Shenwu described the group’s global energy efficiency, emission reduction and comprehensive utilization of resources, while Hanergy and Zhengyu presented their solar film power generation and methanol to natural gas application technology. Then Mr. Ron Dizy, Mr. Yang Hailei , and Mr. Xu Dingbing gave a brief information to their respective organizations.
At the interaction session chaired by Mr. Xu Dingbing , delegates discussed what services can be provided by AEC to Chinese companies and how AEC helps Chinese companies go abroad? Mr. Ron Dizy said, AEC will work out a cooperation and matchmaking scheme in conjunction with the requirement of Chinese companies. Delegates highlighted the importance of technology innovation. Mr. Ron Dizy said, although there is difference in policies, both Canada and China have many similar technologies and are in need of innovation in terms of technology and system. Mr. Du Bin stressed that the combination of innovation with practical application. Mr. Wang Jianyuan hoped that both sides work together to promote matchmaking and industry upgrading.
After the meeting, delegates thanked BTMA, Changping S&T Commission, ChinaWorth for their organization and coordination and hoped that more similar matchmaking activities are held for promoting exchange and matchmaking between Chinese and Canadian organizations and promoting international cooperation. The attendance of delegates from Tianjin under the influence of Beijing signifies that ChinaWorth has played a bigger role in promoting Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei innovation cooperation.
