CCHA Beijing Workshop Successfully Closed

February 25 – CCHA Beijing Workshop co-hosted by China-Canada Health Management Association (“CCHA”), China International Technology Transfer Center (“CITTC”), and ChinaWorth Global Tech Consulting (Beijing) Co., Ltd. (Beijing-Ontario Scientific and Technical Innovation Cooperation Center (“BOSTICC”)) was successfully held in Beijing in the morning. This chronic disease management themed workshop was attended by guests including Dr. Michael Zhang, director of research and international cooperation of Health Management Center of Seven Oaks General Hospital and Secretary-General of CCHA, Mr. Marshall Ring, CEO of ASI, Ms. Gong Yu, CEO of Jiadong Health Technology, Mr. Huang Ping , Director of CITTC, Mr. Xia Wenhuan, General Manager of International Technology Commercialization of China International Economic & Technical Cooperation Consultants Inc., Mr. Feng Chengxiang, Vice Director at the College of Resources of Beijing Normal University, Mr. Jin Zaiqing, Deputy Mayor of Haimen, officials of Haimen Science and Technology Bureau, Ms. Wang Chunxue, Director at the Neuropsychiatry Department of Beijing Tiantan Hospital, Mr. Wang Weiming, Associate Chief Physician of Health Management Research Institute of PLA General Hospital (301 Hospital), Ms. Zhang Hongyu , General Manager of ChinaWorth and Principal of BOSTICC. The Workshop also attracted nearly 100 delegates from domestic and international biomedical, medical device, investment and financial organizations including Beijing Weiyi Health Management Co., Ltd., Tianjin Xinhong Medical Technology Co., Ltd., and Beijing Tianyi Investment Inc.
Mr. Huang Ping addressed the Workshop. Dr. Michael Zhang introduced CCHA, Mr. Marshall Ring gave a description of Manitoba Technology Accelerator (MTA), one of top 15 incubators in Canada, and Mr. Xu Dingbing, CTO of ChinaWorth, gave a brief about ChinaWorth and said ChinaWorth desires to deepen cooperation with Canadian organizations including CCHA in areas such as biomedicine and health for introducing more promising Canadian technologies and projects to Beijing and landing them in China.
At the keynote speech session, Mr. Ding Wei, Director of China-Canada Wellness Institute delivered a keynote speech titled “Exploration of Disease and Health Management Mode in the Development and Transform of Hospitals”, followed by three experts who analyzed and discussed chronic disease management and exercise intervention from a medical point of view. In particular, Ms. Wang Chunxue discussed the significant intervention effect of exercise on mood and relevant disease principle in her wonderful speech of “Coping with Stress and Challenges by Improving Psychological Resilience – Evidence for the Protective Effect of Exercise Intervention on Mood and Sleep”; Mr. Wang Weiming discussed “IT-based Exercise Intervention of Chronic Disease”; and Dr. Michael Zhang shared information about “CWI and Progress in Exercise Rehabilitation of Chronic Disease”, said CCHA planned to launch China Diabetes Clinical Exercise Guide 2016 with China Diabetes Education Group and also gave an introduction to the Wellness Institute (“CWI”).Then Mr. Marshall Ring presented ASI’s certified “arteriosclerosis detector” which is looking for a Chinese partner and which was firstly used by CCHA. Finally, Ms. Gong Yu introduced the “metabolism detector” from her company which intends to provide a technical solution for people with slow metabolism.
 CCHA is a non-governmental, non-profit industry group jointly created by Chinese and Canadian entrepreneurs and experts involving in health production, operation, research and development and health related areas on a voluntary basis. CCHA aims to promote the health management industry, enhance exchange and cooperation between both countries and contribute to the development of health management industry. Experts of China and Canada exchanged views about medicine and health at the Workshop. The Workshop helped companies of both countries better define their medical and health management target and provided a solid foundation for subsequent technical cooperation activities.
 A resolution electing the third party intermediary ChinaWorth as the secretariat of CCHA was unanimously adopted by the council of CCHA at the Workshop because of ChinaWorth’s excellent organizational and service abilities, powerful support team and extensive project resources. This means ChinaWorth took a new step forward in the rehabilitation therapy sector based on previous experiences with biomedical projects.
 This Workshop received positive responses from the participants. Many entrepreneurs and organizational guests conducted one-to-one matchmaking and exchange with speech guests after the Workshop. ChinaWorth strives to carry out more health management activities for providing effective communication and exchange platforms for companies and institutions.
