GaitTronics Inc. is developing a robotic patient handling and mobility-training device called GaitEnable, that automatically lifts and supports patients, and prevent falls in hospitals. Health care institutions that use GaitEnable can expect to improve patient outcomes, reduce caregiver injuries, and minimize patient care costs. GaitTronics has performed successful clinical demonstrations and are looking for hospitals for further site trials. They are seeking funding for building more demonstration units, and partners to manufacture subcomponents.
