Description
Prevailing industrialized ternary materials type 111 and 523 have a capacity per gram less than 160maH/g and are unlikely to be used to produce 18650 battery with 3.8AH or larger capacity. While ternary material type 811 and NCA type anode material have a capacity per gram more than 180maH/g and can be used to produce 18650 battery with 3.8AH or larger capacity easily. The rapid development of tablet computer and smart phone increases demand for 3.8AH or larger battery. Therefore, ternary material type 811 and NCA type anode material have broad prospects for development. Nevertheless, the preparation of ternary material type 811 and NCA type anode material can be challenging as Ni2+ cannot be oxidized easily and it’s very hard to produce stableα-LiFeO2. These problems need to be solved immediately. Both ternary material type 811 and NCA type anode material are under development and not available on market at home and abroad.
Technical Parameters/Requirements
Charge/discharge capacity per gram of 1C exceeds 180maH/g, 90% capacity is maintained after 300 cycles, and compaction density of pole piece is greater than 3.6g/cc.
Profile (existing facilities, equipment and products)
Jiangsu Easpring Material Technology Co., Ltd. is wholly owned by Beijing Easpring Material Technology Co., Ltd. and has established 2,340t/a lithium battery anode material line and 8,088t/a precursor line, with a total capacity of 10,428t/a. The project covers a land area of 240m, including 110mu (74,514m2) for phase I of which land use right certificate has been granted, and the remaining 130mu land has been reserved by local government for the company. With a floor area of about 38,000m2 so far, the project is expected to provide additional 10,428t/a lithium battery anode material capacity.
Main products: LCO, multi-element material, LMO and other anode material for small lithium battery and power Li-ion batteries.
